Ramblings

I don't know why, I haven't been into this lately, but it's probably because I've been too busy. Excuses excuses...I know. Here's the short hairs

MIL visit for a month. She leaves and her husband and DH's Godfather drive out here. They brought us our other 2 quads, and in return will bring their 25' trailer back with them. Godfather had never been west of Indiana, so this was a HUGE experience for him. He has been a farmer in PA for his life of 70+ years, his wife just passed last year, and this was an opportunity he finally realized he couldn't pass up. Good times.
Dinner with Cynthia and Rob after their wedding 6-7-8. What a hoot that was. She's my real estate agent, turned another sister and Rob and Bill get along great. Now that she's married, she's realizing that her business isn't her life, and I have heard from her sooo much, and I LOVE IT!
Dinner's with brother and family have also been often, life is good as they have left for Arch Cape, "our family house" for their usual 2+week stint for the fourth. Oh what a splendid place that is! Right on the ocean, and not a damn thing to do but hang out, drink and go to the wineries and to Tilamook :) DH and I will leave on Tues come back Friday before work. Can't wait. I am trying to not be too disappointed when they call DH for overtime. That will suck, but I will still go. They called him both days off this last week. Luckily we weren't home to recieve it. Which brings me to survival of white water rafting. I am 34 years old, and had never been. What a fuckinn hooot that was! Seriously, that should happen more often. Groups of people, and sunshine, floatin down the Wenatchee River. It was glorious. From hearing me talk before hand, you would have thought I would've taken out an additional life policy for fear of not coming back, but it went as well as could be expected. FUN FUN, highly reccomended. Awesome weather here today too. FINALLY. IT's been a good week. Work is the same, family, same, how does life get so busy? Hope this finds everyone well. Sorry it's been so long!

wow

I am sooo behind on this it's crazy.
With that said, I will only hit the hilights and move on.
The work BBQ...very successful. I couldn't believe that a couple of the controllers actually showed. It wasn't for very long, but at least they did. We had a great time visiting, stuffing our gullets and having many a libation. Good times.
I did make it home to Indiana too. I ended up non-reving, and ended up on earlier flights than I had planned. It was lovely. My flight landed in Chitown about 945p and I was at my parents house (with a couple stops enroute) by 1am their time.
I wasn't too sure / convinced that I wanted to stay at my parents house. I did manage to make it thru the 4 days without killing my father. I do like pretty girls and all, but Bertha in jail, makin me her bitch isn't exactly what I have in mind. The triplets turned 3 and we had a couple of parties for them. Their personalities are getting as big as they are. They are gorgeous children. I did get to have some alone time with my nephew Bradlee too. He is 4. He likes to play trucks, play DR, and watch videos. He is quite the little lover boy, and very very happy. My brother is doing a great job raising him. God knows he hasn't had it very simple. But, with all that, it DOES take a village these days, and all four of these kids, that rings true.
I got to see the Old Republic house in New Carlisle. They redid this house and it is stunning! nice job. I got to see some parents that were a very big part of my life growing up. It was a good visit. Grandma came to lunch with us. She has been in and out of the ER alot these days, and I am not sure what to make of it. I can't figure if she is starting with dimentia, or if she's being lazy, or if she is just done fighting. But, she'd better let us know where she stands....cuz if she ain't done fighting, she better get on the ball with taking her meds. This situation is sooooo frustrating for me, because I am a doer...and noone back there is. It's almost like they just expect things and information to fall in their lap. UGH. No patience coming from this broad. We all went out on wednesday. Met at our local mexican watering hole. I got to see some of my friends that I have not see for 15+ years. Jenny came with Sharkboy, and although it was shortlived (he fell asleep), it was soooo good to see her. Kenny and Andy came too. Oh my GOD. I cannot even explain to you all the history with these two clowns, but it absolutely made my trip to see them. Andy and I had a stint of being interested with each other, but the timing was always off. We still have a great connection, and I just love him. He's a great father and friend. He is a very special guy. Kenny is as well. That guy can make me laugh like no other. He's so genuine. I wish I could have met his wife. She sounds pretty terrific too. Then, Jessica and I headed out to meet up with our usual clubbing crew and went to fever and main st pub. Late night, early to rise so I could drive to ORD for my flight. I ended up getting home 5 hours earlier than planned, so that was nice. Back to work, and life. DH got his blood sugar and pressure figured out. He seems to be doing well, and not quite as cranky. He is just soooo awesome. Mom leaves on Friday, and then the wedding festivities start over the weekend. THAT is gonna be a party. Can't wait. I never thought I'd see the day for Cynthia, but here it is!
Hope this finds all of you well!

Well, then, it's been quite a bit. I don't know how people do it with children. Could you please explain? I don't have but 5 damn minutes to myself, running here and there, and getting chores done...then you throw in another house 1:15 away. UGH. DH's mom got here on mothers day. So, I boycotted the Mineral house and stayed home for some much needed R&R and chores to get done. Our "cash cow" as DH likes to call, was in need of severe attention. It got about 4 hours outta me. MIL will be here thru the first week of June.

Last Saturday we went galovanting thru our neighborhood, during our annual garage sale. This place is rediculous...we all trade each other shit and pay for it. This year was no different. There wasn't as much to pick from, but we managed to find a new patio set...still in the box for $70. That was our big purchase for the Mineral house. We then went to dinner at the melting pot in Tacoma for a late mother's day. There was 9 of us that went. It was wonderful...the boys whined the whole time how it's overpriced, and they have to cook their own food....note to self, it's now a girlie restaurant. I don't want to hear it...we love it and WE will be back withOUT them!

DH should be back to work next week, pending the outcome of his blood work. He says he's feeling ok.

Having a "work" BBQ at my house on Thursday. People from the tower, here and maybe even a couple from DH's work. We'll see how that goes...hopefully no fights LOL. The FAA tower on the left I work with everyday...and my tower...on the right. I'll keep you posted on the outcome. I'm sure it will be a good time. I'll expect nothing less.

V S .

Still trying to come home at the end of May. Tickets are too expensive to buy, and I will try the non=revving thing, and hope for the best. I might just have to buy a one way ticket back.

or there are other options.....LMAO

whew

What a whirlwind week.
We spent our days off in Mineral working some more. DH got all the knobs put on the cabinets in the kitchen, the last of the counter tops installed, added the backsplash and wine rack and caulked the sink. We kidnapped my brother and he was a good supervisor. He wasn't able to do too much labor due to having his knee surgery the weekend before. It was just nice having him there. We picked up the sand packer thingy (yes, that's the techie term ;) ) to level and pack the sand, then we laid 1x1 pavers as the garage floor. You ask, why go thru all of the labor, rather than pouring concrete? Well, about $4K was saved by doing it our way. Same result, just hard work for us. It turned out wonderfully, with the help of our friends Josh and Mike. I made lunch for 7 men in my new kitchen, and I was very proud. The other guys were the ones that built our garage, they've moved onto making our deck. They are just good ol' boys, like from back home. The type you immediately have a good time with and trust the hard work will get done in a timely fashion. They rock. DH stayed down there for the weekend while I came home to go to work. He is off for 2 weeks+/- due to him starting his new diabetes medication. He has been staving off the inevitable for about 4 years now, and he can't do it with just his diet anymore. At least he's not having to do the shots of insulin. (at least not yet). He says today he is already feeling better. Softball will be Tuesday, then out for drinks with our friends and then, I'm sure, back to Mineral for our weekend. I think I will be heading back to Indiana May 26 thru the 29th...I will give more detail, when it's known...but you have my numbers too. I will call when I have definant itinerary. I really hate staying with my parents any more. My dad and I just don't get along, and it's stressful on my mom....so we'll see where I land. UGH.. Back to work..new bean is actually doing pretty good. It must be his trainer ;)

Saturday, April 26, 2008

the short of it

Softball happened on Tues, I thought I pulled a muscle, but I didn't, we won

Mikey came over and we went down to the Mineral house and recieved pavers and concrete to finish our new garage, went to taco night, came home and watched a movie, went to bed

Thursday, came home. DH went to dr and was finally diagnosed as a diabetic. We have been staving this off for about 3 years with his diet....but no more. He will start meds monday and be disqualified from work because of it, which in turn, turns him into my bitch for said chores and honey do list's that will prevail for the next two weeks on his leisure.

Marcus, Anna and new girlfriend came over for dinner. Jesus...great time had by all. We stayed up with Marcus until 4am digging thru old yearbooks, comparing and telling stories. Laughed our asses off and finally passed out.

Friday, back to work...and training. Bean is doing good, much better than the last(obviously, since SHE didn't make it). All is well on our end...back to work

Saturday, April 19, 2008

Did I mention it's FUCKING SNOWING? This pleases me to no end. NOT. SICK SICK SICK OF WA Weather.

Anywho...another action packed days off scheduled for this week.

Tues, dinner with Brother and Andrea, softball double that probably won't end until 11pm. DH goes to Mineral after dinner...I go to softball

Wed drive down to Mineral--go over the plans for porch add on and see our new garage. Have shit delivered from Lowes. Pavers and misc other junk needed to finish garage. Electrician is supposed to come down to finish his work. Finishing the garage will then equal moving all the crap out of the house, ie...fencing and big items into new garage. Probably won't happen for a couple of weeks tho.

Thursday, DH to the DR and Kirby to come over to go over financial investment stuff. Then Marcus is coming over! I am waaaaaay excited to see him. It's been 16+ years. Going to BBQ and drink heavily!!

Today is MIL 60th birthday. Called her and she is enjoying her day. FIL planned a suprise party for her later that really isn't a suprise. I think SIL spilled the beans because she knows MOM hates suprises. Had a nice chat with her.

Went to see Sara's new house. It is beautiful. The back yard is fantastic and maybe me and her children will talk them into putting in a pool in the future or not...but it's nice to fantasize.....

busy...

Ok, so why is it that I can have absolutely NOTHING going on on most of my days/days off, but now I am booked thru May with "things".
Dinner with Cynthia and Rob...ie..I think it prudent to actually have a conversation with her fiance before actually walking her down the isle in their wedding 6-7-08. I can't wait to do so. She is one crazy cat, and we will have soo much fun!
Softball...now playing on Tuesday nights. Two games per night
DH now has OT scheduled almost, every week...which impeeds our progress on the Mineral house. Good thing we are just building a garage right now, so we have about 2 weeks of downtime until we have to start playing again.
Marcus, a friend from H.S. is coming down...finally, after about 8 months of planning. Between us NOT having the same days off and him having 2 kids every other weekend...well, here we are. Cannot wait for that drunken stuper!
Going to Kona to look for houses....brother is having knee surgery, DH going on meds that he will have to be off of work for, and Andrea *trying to get off from her job too.....my schedule is already posted thru the end of May...and we are SHORT SHORT SHORT...which leads me to....I now have a new "chilta".... He started today, and we'll call him Bean...for all intensive purposes.
UGH...you all wonder why I'm tired!
MUCH LOVE

busy weekend

Tuesday started "our" weekend. DH came home from work and being held for OT completely exhausted, but we had made plans to go to brothers house for dinner. We did and as usual, had a great time. Fantasized and discussed the houses in Hawaii we've been emailing back and forth. Poor brother has to have knee surgery at the end of April, but we will utilize said events to take an informational trip to Hawaii and look at some of our properties in person.
Made it down to the Mineral house tues night. We were the talk of the town and a flurry of activity. The neighbors were putting in a new well, and we started our excavation for a new garage. All went well with the start of it....hoping the inspector won't have anything to bitch about so we may continue on schedule! We skipped taco wednesday at the bar, cuz' I wanted a Margarita, and they only have beer and wine. Came home watched some boobtube and hit the hay. Thursday our insurance guy and friend, Kirby came out for a visit and make sure all of our coverages now that the house is livable, are up to par. All was dandy, we headed home and went to lunch with some friends and I ran back home to hook up with my friend, RW. DH had to work a night shift of OT.
She just got home from 2.5 months of training for the FAA. She's doing great, and adapting...except for the $$$$...more like lack there of. I think she'll do great working at the center. She's a smart cookie!
Back to work today. DH and I drove my TT with the top down! That was pretty exciting. Awesome weather today! I'm pretty happy about that

Awhile

Let's see....it's been awhile. DH and I went to Viva Las Vegas on our weekend. We stayed at the Jockey Resorts which is next to the Bellagio. It was a nice place, one bedroom condo, but they mentioned on their websites that there is construction going on thru 2009. Now, one would assume that most construction sites would not operate at 2am, 5am, and so on. But noooooooooooooo these fuckers fail to mention that this is...THE BIGGEST FUCKING CONSTRUCTION PROJECT IN THE U.S. RIGHT NOW. Needless to say, we didn't get much sleep. They are creating the city center, right there...above our heads. We went over to Planet Hollywood, which has a great mall in it. Did shopping, ate dinner at their buffet...which was awesome! Found some deals and then went to see Stomp out Loud. It was also, very good. The weather was awesome, sunny and 75 degrees. I managed to get my drink on with a Fat Tuesday's yarder. Holy shit, that was yummy. Our stupid state laws in Washington prohibit them from ever coming to our glorious state. I guess I will just have to save up for vacations to partake. DH and I are not gamblers at all...with that said, we are at the airport for departure, and I ask DH if he wants to drop our classic "20" before we leave. We do, $3 bucks, won $100. Cashed out and went on our happy way.
Found out my little sister lost her baby. Not viable, and they will be inducing her to deliver it tomorrow...say an extra prayer for her please. It's gonna be pure hell on her. I can only imagine the emotions she is feeling right now.
Got my softball schedule yesterday, and it looks like 2 games per night to be played 3 Tuesdays per month. Looking forward to that! Getting my fat ass up and around again.
DH and I will be heading to Mineral to screw around for our next weekend. It will be a few weeks before I can get down there. He met with the contractor and he will begin construction on the garage on Tues or Wed.
Dinner with some friends on Thursday and that brings us right back to the next weekend. Hope you are all doing swell!

WN

At work...KC and Andrea are coming over tonight and we will have a swarey! Shannon, my niece, left for Spokane tonight. Oh my GOD. We pulled one over on her!
WN=Southwest airlines
ND=are my operating initials while at work....dialog went like this!
SC: Shannon's initials.....for later use
WN:3806 pushback off of B6
ND:WN3806 push approved tail east and let me know if you can do me a favor?
WN:repeated instructions says"yes"
ND: my nieces are on board going to WASU to check out the campus for the weekend..go ahead and use the info...it's Shannon and Emi (her friend)
WN:Will do! (they love doing these tasks....)
WN then takes off and Bill working in the tracon, gives them the same instructions after giving them direct spokane (no delay). He tells them her whole name Shannon Cox.
Phone call after she lands:
ND:hello (with a grin cuz I know what's coming)
SC:You bitch! laughing very loud....she goes into her story....so the flight attendant announces SC ring your flight att call button, she does...and he then proceeds to tell her that she has been id'd on a terror watch list and there will be police meeting the aircraft in Spokane....she evidently starts silently freaking out. On the way off the plane...said FA says...just kidding, but your aunt wanted us to say/do something to you.

Now, I got blamed...when it was Bill giving her full name....but I guess I started it and I love it when a plan comes together! LOVE THAT>!!!!!

FUEL

So, I'm checking my God awful AOL account, and run into this story
http://www.switched.com/2008/03/24/high-schoolers-create-car-that-gets-1-693-miles-per-gallon/

Leave it to our wonder children in INDIANA to come up with this. I expect this child will be killed by sniper fire from EXON or MOBILE execs. You know they can't let this come to fruition. It would stab them in their poor wallets. We all knew it was out there and available....now we know.
Headed to Mineral with DH tonight for a lil R&R. Will be back Thursday to BBQ for Cyndi when she comes over. She's picking up her boys from the airport at 10pm, but lives almost 2 hours north of the airport. She'll get off work and then come chill at our house.
Hope you all have a decent week.
Not much going on here boys and girls....same ol' so that's why I haven't felt the need to blog. Work, eat, sleep, yadda yadda yadda. Going to Vegas next week. I think I might be getting sick thanks to all my coworkers who keep showing up to work sick. UGH

St Paddy's day

I would like to openly say, that this holiday, should never, ever be on a Monday. I am unable to partake in ANY libations due to my work schedule, and clearly, that is bullshit. With that said, I think you know how my day is going......
Tomorrow is DH and I's 8th wedding anniversary. Sometimes it feels like 20 years...and sometimes, it feels like 2. I am soooo pleased with my choice. Ya know, he's me with a penis. I also love that. It gives me bragging rights. He's awesome, and I would do it all over again 100 times. We will be having dinner and libations with Andrea tomorrow night. (KC can't come, he has a town meeting). Not sure where to go. I am a closet foodie (thanks Athena!) and that makes the decision hard. Especially when you have to please others too.
Virgin America is having their inaugural flight tomorrow. The ladies of the ticketcounter came up to my tower today doting a HUGE basket of goodies. A full size KitchenAid coffee maker, with coffee, tea, chocolates and a mug for each of us.....BEAUTIFUL. I hope things go well for them. I think they will fly SEA-SFO and next month start SEA-LAX too. I have to work OT on Wed, have Thurs off and back to work on Friday. Hope y'all have a good week...don't get too drunk tonight...and drink something green for me ;)

Sherpa's visit

Ok, I know I know....I have sucked at keeping up at this lately. I have had absolutely NO time. Sara and I got back from CUN onThursday night...1am and Britt got here the next day at noon. Do the math...not condusive to blogging. I'm sorry, don't hate me.
Our visit with Brit was alot of fun. Lots of giggles, and crazy talk about school, expectations, and family. I think she has decided to move out here as soon as she graduates from IU next year. It's time for her to branch out and get a feel for life as an adult. I found out many facts about her life as it stands now, and they don't make me happy. We have offered her to move in with us, we will give her my subaru to drive and she will go to grad school....somewhere...info to follow. We did visit the UDUB campus in Tacoma and looked up a bunch of info as far as residency, and where we'll stand with that. I'm just glad she is branching out. We went downtown on Wednesday. Went to Pike market and to the space needle. We did get to see a movie being filmed at Pikes Market. Supposedly called Traveling. Jen Aniston, and Martin Sheen and Aaron....somebody. One of the ladies giving out samples of the fresh fruit, yelled" it's not a party with out a pineapple". Britt and I howled. That was definately a highlight to that day. Too funny! WE proceeded to go to KC and Andreas for BBQ of various meats. About 4 lbs worth by the end of it. Fresh Halibut, pork roast, and many different weiners/sausages and steak....yummy ! DH had a good week working on the house, playing with my brother KC, and getting some chores done. We now have a "living room" at the mineral house. We have the TV, couch and rug installed and will be getting a dish and DSL next week. It's becoming usable and that make DH VERY VERY happy. He also put a wad down on a garage, that permit permitting, should move forward in the next 2-3 weeks. It will be glorious to be able to have a place to store all of our shit, tools, and whatnots. KC and Andrea sold her dad's caddy to my cousin...Anna. She picked that up tonight and is pleased as punch. We told her she has to be the ladies' pimps next year for the pimp and ho. That car is PERFECT for that!
Here is my joke my friend sent to me today....laughed my ass off! ~~How to use the rebateAs you may have heard the Bush Administration said each and every one of us would now get a nice rebate. If we spend that money at Wal-Mart, all the money will go to China. If we spend it on gasoline it will all go to the Arabs, if we purchase a computer it will all go to India, if we purchase fruit and vegetables it will all go to Mexico, Honduras, and Guatemala, if we purchase a good car it will all go to Japan, if we purchase useless crap it will all go to Taiwan and none of it will help the American economy. We need to keep that money here in America, so the only way to keep that money here at home is to buy prostitutes and beer, since those are the only businesses still in the US. ~
Just getting ready to finish my last stint on position here at work. The boss finally got rid of the trainee I have recently spoke of. She just wasn't getting it. So, back to square one, again.
Jake, my nephew, is in NYC at the basketball playoffs. I sent him on a friends buddy pass, and it makes him look all professional with his boss'. They were happy he took the initiative to cover and write for them. He is a sports writer for a paper in Northern Indiana. He seems to be doing very well at this it. He defiantely makes me laugh in his blog.

Well, back to the grind. I hope this finds you all doin ok.

I'm Back

Well, Sara and I made it back from Cancun (CUN) unscathed, besides 3rd degree burns. We had such a wonderful time! It was really nice having her all to myself. No kids, husband, just us. We had many many giggles, drinks, meals, and fun time. The hotel was the Grand Real Resort. Beautiful, all-inclusive property, but pretty inpersonal. Food was descent and the drink was good and flowing! The staff pretty much just went about their business. My previous experiences have been very different. I did get to see my friend Alian, but had very little time with him, as he was on duty entertaining his guests at his hotel. We went out both nights, and had a hoot for ourselves laughing and dancing our butts off. It was the beginning of spring break there, so there were drunks, tits, and fights.(pretty much in that order). We LAUGHED and had a ball at others expenses....all night. good times, good times. The flights were good and we got first class from IAH to CUN and return. But, the longest segments....we got stuck in the middle seat. UGH. Long damn flight! Sara was very happy to be home to see all 4 of her babies! hubby and children! I was greeted well too. DH missed me too I guess.
Britt got here today. Arrived without incident! Went to lunch and I had to come to work and DH is on vacation all week, so he took her to KC and Andrea's for dinner. I have a short work week, so I can have some time with her.
DH got allllll of our new stuff moved down to the other house while I was sunning my ass in CUN. I just have to get some curtains purchased, so we can set up all of our stuff, so we don't get ripped off while we aren't there. He is looking forward being able to have some time down there for R&R. The overtime calls are coming just about every one of his days off now. We knew this day would come. Did you hear about the near mid-air collision near PIT? Just a matter of time, that all of these new hires with the FAA will kill a couple of planes at a time. Mark my words my friends....we will have at least 2 mid-airs, by 2010. Stupid fucking government can only REACT to their poor planning rather than be PROactive to aleaviate it all together. The tracon, where DH works, is already understaffed, getting pay cuts, and required to have a dress code, (you care what the fuck the guy in the dark radar room is wearing don't you?) & are also expecting 8 people to retire. (eligible) Now, on the basis of SEA, it takes the average controller about 2-3 years to check out on all positions. Now, they are hiring these stupid fucks off the street with no experience, who don't even KNOW what the difference is between a 737 and a 777. Yep, that should work out spendidly. Especially the guy that is actually trainging him! He's worried about paying his bills, putting his kids thru college, and teaching the dumb fuck with the IQ of 2 to work airplanes and follow rules that he doesn't understand. I WON'T BE FLYING IN THE NEXT 2 YEARS!~
Ok,so off my soap box. It has been neatly tucked away....I am getting back on position, so I can teach my dumb ass paddle one learner.....so much for street sense

Friday, February 29, 2008

or so I thought

DH and I got into the biggest, ugliest, knock down drag out feud on Tuesday night. There are sometimes that I wonder what the fuck he does know about me. Cancun, I guess was not wrapping around his brain, and decided to have a screaming shit fit about it. After all was said and done, I'm going to Cancun with my friend Sara, and he's going to buy a $5000 gun. Seems fair right?WTFE
Anyway, we are back on track and looking forward to my niece, Britt coming to visit. She, for some reason, adores us, and is stoked to come out here for her spring break. Not really sure what we will do the whole time, but not a dull moment will be had. DH is off that week on prime time leave, so he will be sure to entertain. I am off for like 4 and a half days, so I will manage to get her drunk and go dancing in SEA. I'm trying to get my mom to come at the same time. Boy, does she need a break. Her mom is driving her bonkers...let alone my jackass father. I will keep up that front until next weekend when it would just be too late.
Getting geared up to start softball. Literally, when I have all of my uniform purchased, and unable to make it to practices, it is making me a lil uncomfortable. I am hoping to meet the girls sometime soon. I got the full schedule today and will be playing on Tuesday nights. Maybe with no practice, but still.
Had Dusty our taxman over for beer and pizza on Wednesday night. We are getting a ton back, which makes us (anyone) HAPPY! Thursday, we did errands and had our friends over for dinner. We laughed a bunch and bashed the FAA, ate , drank, and looked at HAWAII pics.
Back to work today, and just a normal work week. Leaving for CUN on Monday night! YAY

Tuesday, February 26, 2008

I'm at work, AGAIN, and glad it's the end of my week. I proposed to DH that I am going on a girl trip with my friend from Continental. I thought we could go to Cancun. I am not sure if she is going to get the time off or not. I really feel like I need to go and just sit on the beach for 2 and a half days, but not sure if I should go by myself since it is Mexico. I could go and just never leave the hotel. I'm ok with that. I think I will leave on Monday night, get there Tues mornin, and leave Thursday night. I know, crazy, but I am just feeling it, and DH is onboard for the trip, so I have to take advantage...right? RIGHT
We're getting our taxes done on Wed. Dusty, our tax guy, is a riot. I made sure we had the last appointment, so he could have his usual Corona's with pizza. It makes him happy!
Dinner with JT and hubby on Thurs. And, various crazy running around in between.
We had friends come stay with us for a couple days, had dinner, and whatnot... good times

Friday, February 22, 2008

yep

I told Athena I would try to do better at this, so here it goes.
I worked overtime on Wednesday. I also continued with paddle one learner, and she continued to improve and then digress by the end of the night. We had many giggles, and repremands giving way to a very quick night. The time passes ohhhhh so quickly, when training.
I was coming up the elevator from getting my chicken nuggets for dinner and on the way up, a man joined me in the elevator. Going to the 4th floor was my destination. Now, it was past business hours, so the only people who have access to this floor is myself, and the police. He, being one of the airport cleaners....I knew he wasn't going up. So, I asked him of his intentions, and he just decided to not say much of anything...maybe a grunt? So, I said, Well, I guess you will can just ride with me. I step out of the elevator and he yells behind me "Lemera". Now, I am nearly as positive that that is NOT the right spelling, as I was that it was definately something dirrogitory. Come to find out, he called me "a fucking whore". Now, I'm just pissed. Most of all who know me, I will be the first one to say I can be a bitch, but when I have offered nothing, but pleasantries....now YOU you fucking fuck, are just an illegal immigrant fucking up my night. So, with that said, I called my peeps at the port of seattle and had them look up his name, and badge number and will promptly be having said conversation with his employer. See if , he thought I was a fucking whore then....."he ain't seen nothin yet"! (insert music here)
Yesterday, DH, Josh, and MG went to the home show in Seattle. I have no idea why, but Josh feels the need to report to his wife when, where and what he is doing at all times. Now, with that said, this place is about 100,000 square feet, of booths, people to talk to and homes to go through. It will take even the fastest, non interested people, about 3-4 hours to go thru. Now, we didn't arrive until after 11am (when it opened), and he tells her that we should be done by 2pm. I laughed and told him, that we won't even be thru the first half by then. He was getting all antsy about 5pm when we actually walked outta there, and then across the street to the pyramid brewry for dinner. After several attempts to contact his wife, we made a wager, as to when we would actually hear from her. He cheated, and texted her again. Then she called back. I can only imagine by the way he was acting, he would be sleeping in the dog house. LMAO
Today, woke up, and went to a much needed chiropractor appointment. DH stayed home with the DirecTV guy who was hooking up our new HD DVR and sattelite. Back to work tonight.
I'm excited I get to see my friend John tomorrow night after work. We tried last night, but he was very delayed getting into Seattle. He is a pilot at CAL and is on a trip that works through Seattle several times over the weekend. It will be nice to see him tomorrow!

at a loss

So, I must say...talking to Athena today, was an absolute HOOT. She is a friend from back in the day, growing up in good ol' Indiana. She is still just as hilarious as ever. She has been my push to keep this going.
I spoke to my sister on Sunday night. She is not doing so well, and she won't help herself, so I don't know how to. I just have to let it go and hope she gets her head outta her ass. My grandma has been staying at my parents house. The doctors can't seem to get her BP under control. I think she went back home yesterday, but need to call mom to get the update. She is 87, (I think) and still has some spunk left in her. I'm not giving up yet.
Work has been interesting. I have been training a woman, that has absolutely no air traffic experience. She is taking a little longer than expected, but she still might get it. We'll just have to wait and see. One of the things she needs to work on is her voice. She is a very sweet, meek by nature, woman. So having a commanding voice is a chore for her. She says to me "how did you find your voice?". I said.....I'm just a bitch...it comes naturally. She and I both laughed until we cried. She likes the fact that I give her no break with the critiquing. I let her know when she's screwing up, and it seems to be taking. The other person she has been training with, has had some difficulty, and frustration. So, now she's with me.
DH is doing well. His mother goes home on Thursday. It is nice having her around. She is very helpful and easy to be around. Her husband, booked her ticket. Now, mind you, he's not doing the flying, so he could give a shit less if she stops in every fuckin state along the way to Pennsylvania. He got the cheapest fare though, DAMNIT. She goes Seattle, Billings, Minneapolis, then to Pittsburgh. I would rather slit my wrist the wrong way and bleed out than to do that routing, but she says she fine with it. Who am I to argue. I would kill DH if he pulled some shit like that...LMAO
Looking for a house to buy in Hawaii has been exhausting. We've only just begun (it's ok to break into song, I did!)
The arguement is with DH. He wants to be his Jewish ass self and get the most house for the money with nothing but croakie frogs around for entertainment. I told him, that if we plan on using the house as a rental property, that he will have to budge on the location and have a view with restaurants, grocery stores....with in a 10 minute drive. I don't think that's asking too much. I want those items when I'm on vacation. I think it's only fair to offer it to others. He is a freak of nature, as to being a red head, therefore HATING the sun/surf. I told him he has to think exactly opposite, to make people happy if he wants the damn thing rented. He has a thick skull.
Anywho, that's it for now, I'm bored with myself....I won't keep on. Later
PS...I just found this posting....fuckin HILARIOUS> and true http://www.theangrypharmacist.com/archives/2008/02/yes_the_world_hates_poor_peopl.html
